In my last post I mentioned that I found another shoe source. Well I found out about another and they have some great shoe styles! I've been busy creating and uploading designs then getting them placed on the various shoe styles and selected colors for each shoe. Now it's time for a break and to show off some custom kicks! Today's design is a wild and colorful 3D fractal spiral in shades of yellow, blue, green and fuchsia. I hope you enjoy my latest custom shoes while I get back to work :)
I've finally found a new source for customizable shoes! Yes it's been a very very long wait. It is slow going learning to use another design tool but I have managed to add several products to my new shop at Artsadd. Since I've been working so hard I'm going to give myself a treat by celebrating my inner child in this first showcase of kids shoes. This cute design features a whimsical pattern of green butterflies fluttering in a purple sky and it's available in four shoe styles. I do hope you enjoy them. We finally have some news on about the new shoes from Zazzle but not the news we've been waiting for. In a recent form post Zazzle sadly informed us the new shoes will not make it this year. I can imagine there are many things to work out on Zazzle's end and on the end of the shoe manufacturer. Both will likely have equipment to calibrate and contracts to contemplate. Zazzle will have to change programming for their printers. With the complexity of a website like Zazzle.com I feel sorry for the web designers. The product design areas of the site has got to be a chore.
For now it looks like I need ti think of a different format for this website and blog. Hmmm, who's bright idea was it to name it The Shoe Canvas anyway? :) I want to let everyone know that shoes are temporarily unavailable on the Zazzle website. As horrible as that sounds it is actually a good thing. The following quote from Zazzle will explain: Zazzle, the leading innovator in product customization and co-creator of the world’s first 100% customizable shoe is changing the shoe game again. Coming in 2012, we’re launching the next generation of completely custom shoe styles with new silhouettes, features, and styles. We are sorry for any inconvenience but also excited about the upcoming features and styles to be offered. I will post updates as they are made available. Thank you :)
Artist Olga Hutsul combines photography and digital art to produce beautiful Urban designs. Just looking at Olga's work makes me want to lace up a pair of kicks, hit the street, and take in the city. Everything about urban life is an endless source of inspiration for me – its rhythms, its sounds, its take out smells, its colorful graffiti on brick walls, its conversations in subway. Even the attempt to get away from the city and enjoy the beauty of flowers and nature, my travels, the longing for the sea, still is inspired by breathing the intoxicating urban air. Even my surrealistic dreams, that as you will see found their little place here are created by it. So much has gone on in the past week that there hasn't been a post during that time. To make up for that I'll skip boring you with the details and let you meet our next Featured shoe designer and Zazzle artist. Hi, My name is Olympia and I live in Greece. Since my early years I have had an inclination for whatever has to do with art. Not being able to study something relevant to art, I finally became a Greek teacher. Some years ago, I took a course in drawing. Later on, I bought my first computer with drawing software. I loved it. And then I discovered Zazzle. It’s fun to hear how I discovered Zazzle. In August of 2008, I chanced upon CafePress. I made some designs and thought to open a store. Then, I had the idea to google the words CafePress versus… and it gave back Zazzle. That was it! I found Zazzle and I fell in love with the shoes and opened my shoe store. Check out Olympia's other Zazzle Shops for more great designs!
